Starting from the center of Poon Saan, head towards the main road, which is known as the North West Point Road. Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Flying Fish Cove Road. At this intersection, turn left onto Flying Fish Cove Road.

Continue walking along Flying Fish Cove Road for another 1 kilometer until you reach the sign for the Hughs Dale Waterfall trailhead. The sign is located on your right side and will indicate the entry to the trail.

Once you enter the Hughs Dale Waterfall trail, follow the marked path through the lush rainforest. The trail is well-maintained but may be steep in some sections. It is approximately a 1.5-kilometer hike to the waterfall, so be prepared for a moderate trek. Along the way, you'll enjoy the diverse flora and fauna of Christmas Island.
