Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you are driving, start from South Point and head northwest on the main road. Continue straight for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads towards the Ethel Beach area. After about 3 kilometers, you will see the Ethel Beach sign on your right. Follow this road until you arrive at the beach parking area. Be aware that there are no fees for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from South Point to the main town area. From the main town, look for the bus that goes towards the Ethel Beach area. The bus may not run frequently, so check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive at the Ethel Beach stop, you will have a short walk of about 500 meters to reach the beach itself. Ensure you have the exact fare ready as some buses do not provide change.
Walking
If you're already in South Point and prefer to walk, you can follow the coastal path that leads towards Ethel Beach. This scenic route covers about 10 kilometers and may take approximately 2-3 hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as this route can be quite exposed to the sun.
