If you are driving from the Amazon region, take Route 65 from the city of Leticia towards the town of La Pedrera, then continue on Route 45 through the town of Inírida. Follow the signs to Bogotá. Once you reach Bogotá, take the exit towards Cundinamarca. Continue on the highway until you see signs for Tominé Reservoir, which is located about 60 km northeast of Bogotá. Look for the exit towards Guatavita and follow the road signs to the reservoir. Make sure to check for any tolls along the way, which may cost around 20,000 COP.

To reach Tominé Reservoir using public transportation, start from Leticia and take a bus to Bogotá. The trip may take anywhere from 24 to 30 hours, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive in Bogotá, head to the Terminal de Transporte Salitre and catch a bus to Guatavita. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and may cost around 15,000 COP.
