If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest city, Florencia, which is approximately 90 kilometers away from San Vicente del Caguán. Take the Route 45 towards San Vicente del Caguán. This road is mostly paved, but be cautious of occasional rough patches. After about 1.5 hours of driving, you will reach San Vicente del Caguán. Once you are in San Vicente, follow the signs towards the national park. The entrance to the natural Cordillera de los Picachos National Park is located just outside the town. Ensure you have a map or GPS enabled, as some signage may be limited.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Florencia to San Vicente del Caguán. The bus terminal in Florencia has several daily departures. The journey will take approximately 2 hours and cost around 15,000 COP (Colombian Pesos). Upon arrival at the San Vicente bus terminal, you can either take a local taxi or walk to the park entrance, which is about 3 kilometers away. If you choose to walk, head west from the terminal along Calle 6 until you reach the road that leads to the park entrance.

If you prefer more convenience, you can hire a taxi or use a rideshare app in San Vicente del Caguán. Taxis are available near the bus terminal or can be called directly. The fare to the entrance of the natural Cordillera de los Picachos National Park should be around 10,000 COP. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your ride.
