Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Bus
From Bogotá, take the TransMilenio bus to the Portal del Norte station. Once there, transfer to a regular bus heading towards Cogua. The bus will take you along the Las Margaritas road towards Neusa. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the Embalse del Neusa stop. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous and want to cycle, you can rent a bike in Bogotá. Head towards the northern part of the city and follow the bike lanes to get to the outskirts. Make your way to the Las Margaritas road. The route can be challenging due to elevation changes, so ensure you're prepared for a long ride that could take around 3 to 4 hours. Follow signs to Cogua and then to Embalse del Neusa.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct option, you can use a taxi or a rideshare service like Beat or Didi. Request a ride to Embalse del Neusa, and the driver will take you along the best route. This option is more expensive but will get you there in about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions.
