Car
If you're driving to Mei's Cascada from Cocora Valley, head towards Salento on the main road (approximately 30 minutes). Once in Salento, follow the signs towards the Cocora Valley entrance. Continue along the road until you reach the Cocora Valley parking area. From the parking lot, take the trail that leads towards the waterfall. The hike is about 1.5 kilometers and should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
Public Transportation
To reach Mei's Cascada using public transportation, take a jeep (also known as a Willys) from the main square in Salento to the Cocora Valley entrance. The fare is approximately 3,000 COP (Colombian Pesos) per person. The ride takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cocora Valley entrance, follow the hiking trail for about 1.5 kilometers to reach Mei's Cascada. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way.
Hiking
After reaching the Cocora Valley parking area (via car or jeep), begin your hike towards Mei's Cascada. The trail is relatively easy, but be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes. Follow the main path leading into the valley and look for signs directing you to the waterfall. The hike takes approximately 30-40 minutes, and you will encounter stunning landscapes and local flora along the route. Remember to take water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the trail.
