Car
From the center of Los Llanos, head north on the main road (Route 60) towards Villavicencio. Continue for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the town of Restrepo. From Restrepo, take Route 40 heading west. After about 50 kilometers, you will arrive in the town of Acacías. From Acacías, follow Route 43 north, which will take you through the scenic countryside. After around 60 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Timanfaya National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance. Be sure to check for any parking fees at the entrance.

Public Transportation
Start at the main bus terminal in Los Llanos. Look for a bus heading to Villavicencio; these buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in Villavicencio, transfer to a bus that heads towards Acacías. The transfer should take about 30-45 minutes. From Acacías, you will need to take a taxi or a local shared van (also called 'colectivo') that can take you directly to Timanfaya National Park. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Expect to pay between 10,000 to 15,000 COP for the taxi ride.
