From Yopal, take a bus to San Luis de Palenque. Buses typically depart from the main terminal in Yopal, and the journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in San Luis de Palenque, hire a local taxi or 'mototaxi' to reach Reserva Natural El Encanto de Guanapalo, roughly 20 km away. Negotiate the fare beforehand, typically ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 COP. Cost: - Bus from Yopal to San Luis de Palenque: Approximately 15,000-25,000 COP. - Taxi/Mototaxi from San Luis de Palenque to the reserve: 30,000-50,000 COP.

From Yopal, head southeast on the Vía Yopal-Orocué road (Route 65) towards San Luis de Palenque. Continue for approximately 110 km until you see signs for Reserva Natural El Encanto de Guanapalo. The entrance will be on your left. Ensure you have a GPS device or a smartphone with maps, as cell service may be limited. Be aware that after 5:00 pm, you cannot enter the reserve since there is no light or signal. Cost: There are no tolls on this route.
