Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the center of Santa Marta, head to the main bus terminal located at Calle 11 with Carrera 5. Look for a bus heading toward Comuna 2 or 'Minca'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off when you reach the area of Comuna 2, which is known for its proximity to Playa de los Cocos. From the bus stop, ask locals for directions to Playa de los Cocos, as they will be familiar with the area.

• Moto-taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a moto-taxi from anywhere in Santa Marta. To find a moto-taxi, simply look for a designated moto-taxi stand or flag one down on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa de los Cocos in Comuna 2. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting the ride.

• Walking

  If you're staying in a nearby area and wish to walk, you can head toward Comuna 2 by following Avenida del Libertador. It’s a scenic walk that will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Calle 11, then continue straight. Look for signs or ask locals for Playa de los Cocos as you approach the beach area.
