The trail begins at Carrera 10 and Calle 4, marked as 'Camino Real - Barichara - Guane' on maps. The walk to Guane is 5.5 km and takes about 2 hours. There is no fee to access the trail.

If starting in Barichara, buses to Guane leave from the main square. The bus trip takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 4,000 COP. Alternatively, after hiking from Barichara to Guane, a bus back to Barichara is available from Guane's main square for approximately 4,000 COP.
