Additionally, 18 km of scenic nature trails wind through spruce forests, providing spectacular views for snowshoeing enthusiasts. The "Oh, Be Joyful" Nordic Log Lodge serves as the heart of the center, offering Nordic ski and snowshoe equipment rentals, a wax and repair shop, and a cozy tavern. Relax by the fireplace, enjoy happy hour with live music, or explore the destination historic huts along the trails, such as Josie's Cabin, Hallelujah Hut, and Kathy's Viewpoint. The Hallelujah Hut, formerly a mining retort house, provides a glimpse into Breckenridge's history. Kathy's Viewpoint offers a tiny warming hut with a sauna. Founded by Gene Dayton, the center initially supported adaptive winter sports programs. Over the years, it has grown into a premier cross-country skiing destination, offering lessons, tours, and community events.
