Walking

From the intersection of S Tejon Street and Cheyenne Boulevard, walk east on Cheyenne Boulevard. Turn left onto S Cascade Avenue. Ivywild School will be on your left in approximately 0.2 miles. Sidewalks are available. There is no cost for walking.
Public Transport

The BUSTANG bus provides public transportation in the Ivywild area. Check the local bus schedule for the nearest stop and times. A single fare is approximately $1.75.
Taxi/Ride-Share

From downtown Colorado Springs, a taxi or ride-share to Ivywild School will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated cost is $10-$15.
Driving

From I-25, take exit 141 for Cheyenne Boulevard. Head east on Cheyenne Boulevard. Turn left onto S Cascade Avenue. Ivywild School will be on your left. Free parking is available in the lot in front of and behind the school. Parking can be limited during peak hours.

Ivywild School, located in the heart of Colorado Springs, is a unique destination that blends history, community, and commerce. Originally built in 1916 as Ivywild Elementary School, it served the local neighborhood for nearly a century before closing its doors in 2009. Recognizing its importance to the community, local entrepreneurs revitalized the building, transforming it into a multi-use marketplace that opened in 2013. Today, Ivywild School is a place where neighbors, friends, and visitors can gather to enjoy local food, drinks, and unique experiences. The building houses a variety of businesses, including Bristol Brewing Company, Axe and the Oak Whiskey House, Decent Pizza Co., Ivywild Kitchen, and the Principal's Office, a coffee and cocktail bar. The school's wide hallways now serve as gathering spaces, adorned with rotating art exhibits. Multiple patios offer outdoor seating with views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Ivywild School hosts a variety of events, including markets, festivals, concerts, and film screenings in the former gymnasium. The renovation preserved many of the school's original features, creating a nostalgic and inviting atmosphere. It stands as a testament to community collaboration and sustainable practices, with businesses sharing resources and minimizing waste. The building also offers accessible features throughout, including ramps and accessible restrooms on both levels.
