    From the center of Crested Butte, start at Elk Avenue. Head east on Elk Avenue towards the intersection with 6th Street. Turn left on 6th Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Gothic Road. Cross Gothic Road and continue straight on 6th Street, which will turn into Brush Creek Road. Follow Brush Creek Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Brush Creek Trailhead parking area. The trailhead is marked, and you will see signs indicating the beginning of the hiking trails.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops on Elk Avenue. Start at Elk Avenue and head east towards 6th Street. Turn left on 6th Street, and then turn left again onto Gothic Road. Continue to follow Gothic Road, and then take a right onto Brush Creek Road. Ride for approximately 1.5 miles until you arrive at the Brush Creek Trailhead. Be cautious of other cyclists and pedestrians along the way.
