Turn left onto Peanut Lake Road. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles. You will find the Lower Loop Trailhead Parking area on your right. There are signs indicating the trailhead, and the parking lot is adjacent to the start of the Lower Loop Trail.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte. Start at the corner of Elk Avenue and 6th Street, then head south on 6th Street. Continue to Peanut Lake Road and take a left. Follow Peanut Lake Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Lower Loop Trailhead Parking on your right side. This route is mostly flat and provides a pleasant ride.
