From the center of Crested Butte, start at the intersection of Elk Avenue and Aspen Street. Head south on Aspen Street until you reach the intersection with Peanut Lake Road. Turn left onto Peanut Lake Road. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles. You will find the Lower Loop Trailhead Parking area on your right. There are signs indicating the trailhead, and the parking lot is adjacent to the start of the Lower Loop Trail.
