• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading west on U.S. Highway 50. Continue on this highway until you reach the junction with U.S. Highway 287. Merge onto U.S. Highway 287 North towards Laramie. After approximately 50 miles, take the exit for Colorado 14 West towards Fort Collins. Continue on Colorado 14 until you reach the intersection with U.S. Highway 287. Turn right onto U.S. Highway 287 and head south towards Loveland. From Loveland, take I-25 South and exit onto U.S. Highway 34 West towards Estes Park. Follow U.S. Highway 34 through Estes Park, and eventually, you will arrive at Grand Lake. The total drive is about 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.

  To reach Grand Lake using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from your location in the Eastern Plains to Fort Collins. Check with local transit services for the most convenient route. Once in Fort Collins, transfer to the Bustang service, which provides routes to various locations including Estes Park.
