Car
Start in Gunnison Valley and head east on US-50 E. Continue for about 27 miles until you reach the junction with CO-82. Take the exit toward Aspen and merge onto CO-82 N. Continue on CO-82 for approximately 25 miles. You will pass through the town of Aspen. As you approach Independence Pass, look for the signs indicating Independence Ghost Town. Turn onto the dirt road leading to the ghost town. Note that this road is only accessible during the summer months due to snow.

From Gunnison Valley, you can take the local bus service to Aspen. Check the schedule for the bus route that goes to Aspen. Once in Aspen, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Independence Ghost Town.
