Bicycle
Start at the Gunnison City Park, located at 200 E Georgia Ave. From the park, head east on Georgia Ave. until you reach S Main St. Turn left onto S Main St. and continue for about 1 mile. After passing the Gunnison River on your right, turn right onto W Tomichi Ave. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the signs for the Curecanti National Recreation Area. Follow the signs to the Curecanti Archeological District, which is approximately 9 miles from the turn-off. The route will take you through scenic views along the river.

Public Transit
From the Gunnison Valley Transit Center located at 1500 W. Tomichi Ave, take the local shuttle service towards Lake City. Inform the driver that you are heading to the Curecanti National Recreation Area. The shuttle will take you close to the entrance of the Archeological District. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule ahead of time for the latest timings. Once you get off at the park entrance, you can walk to the Curecanti Archeological District, which is about a 1-mile walk from the drop-off point.
