Take the 'Pikes Peak Regional Transportation Authority' bus towards Colorado Springs. Get off at the Colorado Springs Transit Center. From there, transfer to a Greyhound bus heading to Durango. Get off at the nearest stop to Mesa Verde National Park. Finally, take a shuttle or ride-sharing service to reach Balcony House within the park.

From Monument, head south on the Santa Fe Trail, which connects to the highway leading towards Mesa Verde National Park. It's approximately a 30-mile trek, so ensure you have plenty of water and snacks.
