Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Denver. Get on I-70 W from Denver and drive for about 30 miles. Take exit 244 for U.S. 6 N toward Idaho Springs. From Idaho Springs, turn onto Fall River Road (County Road 275) and continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the St Mary's Glacier trailhead at 7599 Fall River Rd, Idaho Springs, CO 80452. There is no parking fee at the trailhead, but ensure you arrive early as it can fill up quickly on weekends.
