    Getting There

    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mbude. Head southeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the main junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto Route Nationale 1, which leads toward the port area. Follow Route Nationale 1 for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to the ferry terminal. Parking is available near the terminal for a fee of approximately 500 KMF per day.

    For those opting for public transportation, take a shared taxi (known locally as 'taxi-brousse') from Mbude to Moroni, the capital of Comoros. Shared taxis can be found at various points in Mbude; the fare to Moroni is around 1,500 KMF. Once you arrive in Moroni, you can either walk or take a taxi to the ferry terminal. Ferries to the other islands depart multiple times daily, with prices generally around 5,000 KMF for a one-way trip. Ensure you check the ferry schedule ahead of time to avoid long waits.

The ferry ride can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your destination.
