Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mbude. Head southeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the main junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto Route Nationale 1, which leads toward the port area. Follow Route Nationale 1 for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to the ferry terminal. Parking is available near the terminal for a fee of approximately 500 KMF per day.

Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a shared taxi (known locally as 'taxi-brousse') from Mbude to Moroni, the capital of Comoros. Shared taxis can be found at various points in Mbude; the fare to Moroni is around 1,500 KMF. Once you arrive in Moroni, you can either walk or take a taxi to the ferry terminal. Ferries to the other islands depart multiple times daily, with prices generally around 5,000 KMF for a one-way trip. Ensure you check the ferry schedule ahead of time to avoid long waits.

After arriving at the ferry terminal in Moroni, purchase your ticket for the ferry service to the desired Comoro island. The ferry ride can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your destination. It is advisable to arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure to secure your spot and ensure a smooth boarding process.
