    From the center of Ouani, head southeast towards the coastal road. Walk along Avenue de l'Indépendance, enjoying the local shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, take the right path which leads uphill towards Mutsamudu. After walking for approximately 1 kilometer, you will start to see signs for The Citadel. Follow the signs as you approach the outskirts of Mutsamudu.

Keep walking straight until you reach the main square, Place de la République. The Citadel is located just beyond this square.
