Walking
From the Spring Street parking lot, cross the old waterfall dam to enter the preserve. Follow the white-blazed Carriage Path uphill. This well-maintained gravel trail leads to Lookout Mountain, offering views. The walk to the summit takes approximately 20 minutes.

Parking is available in four main lots: Case Pond Lot (68 Birch Mountain Rd), Spring St. Lot (670 Spring St), Shenipsit Trail Lot (near 148 Birch Mountain Rd), and Line St. Lot (Line St).
