If you are driving, enter the address '243 E Putnam Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830' into your GPS or navigation app. From I-95, take exit 3 for US-1 toward Greenwich. Merge onto US-1 S and continue for about 2 miles. Turn left onto E Putnam Ave (CT-1), and you will find Putnam Cottage on your right after about 0.5 miles. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be sure to check for any parking restrictions.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach Putnam Cottage via public transportation, take the Metro-North Railroad from your nearest station in Fairfield County to the Greenwich station. Once you arrive at the Greenwich station, you can either walk or take a local bus. If walking, exit the station and head southeast on Arch St toward E Putnam Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach E Putnam Ave, where you will turn left. Putnam Cottage will be on your left at 243 E Putnam Ave. Alternatively, you can catch the local bus route 10 or 11 from the station, which will drop you closer to the cottage.
