Train
From Greenwich Station, take the Metro-North Railroad train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at Grand Central Terminal. From there, transfer to the subway by following the signs to the 4, 5, 6, 7, or S trains. Take the 4 or 5 express train downtown and get off at the 42nd Street/Bryant Park station. Walk to the 42nd Street/Times Square subway station and transfer to the N, Q, R, or W train towards Astoria. Get off at the 8th Street/N.Y.U. station. From the station, walk west on 8th Street until you reach Bleecker Street, then turn left. Walk down Bleecker Street for about 5 minutes, and you will see Alex's Tours at 155 Bleecker St on your right.
Bus
From the Greenwich Town Hall bus stop, take the CT Transit Route 10 or 11 bus towards Stamford. Get off at the Stamford Transportation Center. From there, take a Metro-North train heading to Grand Central Terminal. After about 45 minutes, arrive at Grand Central. Follow the subway directions as mentioned above: transfer to the 4 or 5 train downtown, get off at 42nd Street/Bryant Park, then transfer to the N, Q, R, or W train towards Astoria. Exit at the 8th Street/N.Y.U. station, walk to Bleecker Street, and you’ll find Alex's Tours at 155 Bleecker St after a 5-minute walk.
Walking
If you are staying in the downtown Greenwich area, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Head north on Greenwich Ave towards East Putnam Ave, then take a left onto East Putnam Ave. Continue walking until you reach the Metro-North Railroad Station. From there, you can take the train to New York City as detailed in the train options above. Alternatively, if you find yourself near the waterfront, walk along the picturesque streets, keeping the harbor on your left, until you reach the main road leading to the train station.
