If you're driving, head to Penwood State Park located at 560 Simsbury Rd, Bloomfield, CT 06002. From central Housatonic Valley, take Route 7 South towards Route 44. Merge onto Route 44 East and then take the exit for I-91 South. Continue on I-91 South for about 10 miles until you reach Exit 30 for Route 218. Take Route 218 West until it merges into Simsbury Rd. Continue on Simsbury Rd for about 3 miles, and you will see the entrance to Penwood State Park on your left. There is no entry fee for the park.
