Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Toomey Rd in Goshen, CT. From downtown Litchfield, take Route 202 East and continue for about 8 miles. Turn right onto Route 63 South and follow it for approximately 5 miles until you reach Toomey Rd. Turn left onto Toomey Rd, and you will see the entrance to Cunningham Tower shortly after. Parking is available along the road.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cunningham Tower using public transportation, take the Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HART) bus service from Litchfield. You would need to take a bus to Torrington and then transfer to another bus heading towards Goshen. Please check the HART schedule for exact times and routes. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop on Route 63, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along Route 63 South to reach Toomey Rd. There may not be a direct bus service to Toomey Rd, so walking may be necessary after your bus journey.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can cycle from Litchfield to Cunningham Tower. Follow Route 202 East and then Route 63 South. The total distance is about 13 miles, and it will take around an hour to bike there, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws as you navigate through the area.

• Hiking

  If you are feeling adventurous, consider hiking to Cunningham Tower from nearby hiking trails. The nearest trailhead is at the nearby White Memorial Conservation Center. From the trailhead, follow the designated hiking trails which will lead you through the beautiful natural landscape and eventually connect to paths that lead to Toomey Rd. This would be a moderate hike and is ideal for those looking to experience the outdoors.
