From Mashantucket, head northwest on Pequot Trail toward CT-2. Continue straight onto CT-2 W. Merge onto I-95 N toward New London. Take exit 92 for CT-49 N toward North Stonington. Continue on CT-49 N for about 9 miles, then turn right onto Wintechog Hill Rd. The Lantern Hill Trail parking area will be on your left. Note: There may be parking fees at the trailhead, so be sure to have cash or a card ready.

From Mashantucket, take the Mohegan Sun Shuttle (check their schedule for times) to the nearest bus station that services the CT Transit routes. Transfer to CT Transit Route 9 towards New London. Get off at the North Stonington stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles northwest on Wintechog Hill Rd to reach the Lantern Hill Trail. Please note, this route may take longer and be less convenient, so plan accordingly.
