Getting There

• Car

  From Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, head southeast on Mohawk Mountain Rd toward East St. Turn left onto East St and continue for about 2 miles. Then, turn right onto Route 341 W. Follow Route 341 for approximately 8 miles. Take a left onto Macedonia Brook Rd. The park entrance will be on your left after about half a mile. The total driving distance is about 11 miles and should take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  Start at Mohawk Mountain Ski Area and walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 4. You will likely need to transfer buses as there is no direct route to Macedonia Brook State Park. Take the bus heading toward Winsted. After reaching the Winsted station, transfer to a bus heading to Kent. Once in Kent, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to reach Macedonia Brook State Park, located at 159 Macedonia Brook Rd, Kent, CT 06757. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time as they may vary.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike from Mohawk Mountain Ski Area to Macedonia Brook State Park. Start on Mohawk Mountain Rd heading southeast, then turn left onto East St. Continue on East St until you reach Route 341 W, where you will turn right. Follow Route 341 for approximately 8 miles and then turn left onto Macedonia Brook Rd. The park entrance will be on your left after about half a mile. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic, as some roads may be busy. The total distance is about 11 miles.
