    From Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, head east on Route 4. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 8. Merge onto Route 8 South. After about 10 miles, take exit 22 for Route 42 toward Beacon Falls. Continue on Route 42, which will lead you into Beacon Falls. Turn left onto Pines Bridge Rd, and Matthies Memorial Park will be on your left. There is no entry fee to access the park.

    From Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus station in Torrington. From there, take the CT Transit Bus 80 towards Waterbury. Get off at the Beacon Falls stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to Pines Bridge Rd. Turn left onto Pines Bridge Rd, and Matthies Memorial Park will be on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary, and a fare will be required for the bus ride.
