From New Haven, take I-91 North. Continue on I-91 N for about 13 miles. Take exit 17 for I-691 W toward Waterbury. Continue on I-691 W for about 3 miles. Take exit 5 for CT-71 N toward Meriden. Merge onto CT-71 N and follow it for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Peak Dr. Follow Peak Dr until you reach Castle Craig, which is located in Hubbard Park. There is no parking fee, but the park may have hours of operation.
Public Transportation
Start at New Haven Union Station. Take the CTtransit bus # 210 toward Meriden. This bus runs regularly and will take about 35 minutes to reach Meriden. Get off the bus at the Stop 'Meriden Transit Center'. From there, you can take a taxi or use rideshare services (like Uber or Lyft) to get to Castle Craig, which is about 3 miles away. Expect to pay approximately $10 for the taxi ride. Alternatively, if you prefer walking, you can walk to Castle Craig, but it is a steep hike through the park.
