If you are traveling by car, start by heading west on CT-44 from the center of The Quiet Corner. Continue on CT-44 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with I-84. Merge onto I-84 W toward Waterbury. After about 6 miles, take exit 39 for CT-4 W toward Farmington. Follow CT-4 W for about 3 miles, then take a right onto CT-10 N. Continue on CT-10 N for about 5 miles, then turn left onto Simsbury Road. Follow Simsbury Road for about 2 miles, and you will see signs for Penwood State Park on your right. The park entrance is located at 41.8498556 latitude and -72.7812885 longitude.

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from the nearest major town in The Quiet Corner (for example, Willimantic) to Hartford. From Hartford, you can take the CT Transit bus route 60 towards West Hartford. Get off at the bus stop for Simsbury Road and walk approximately 1 mile to the park entrance. Please check the bus schedules ahead of time, as service may vary. Additionally, you may need to pay a fare for the bus, which is generally around $1.75 to $2.00.
