Depending on your starting point, follow these steps: 1) From the center of Putnam, take Route 44 West. 2) Merge onto I-395 South towards New London. 3) Take exit 78 for Route 15 South towards Meriden. 4) Continue on Route 15 and then take exit 59 for Route 34 towards New Haven. 5) Follow Route 34 until you reach Wintergreen Avenue. 6) Turn left onto Wintergreen Avenue. 7) The entrance to West Rock Ridge State Park will be on your right at 1134 Wintergreen Ave, New Haven, CT 06514. Note that parking is available at the park entrance.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus or train to New Haven. 1) Start by taking a local bus or ride-share service to a train station that services New Haven, such as the Willimantic or Hartford stations. 2) Take an Amtrak or Metro-North train to New Haven’s Union Station. 3) Once at Union Station, you can catch the CT Transit bus Route 228 towards East Haven. Get off at the stop for Wintergreen Avenue. 4) From there, it is approximately a 15-minute walk to West Rock Ridge State Park at 1134 Wintergreen Ave, New Haven, CT 06514. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for timings.
