By Car

From San Jose, take the Pan-American Highway south towards Palmar Norte. From there, follow signs to Puerto Jimenez. Once in Puerto Jimenez, drive to the town of Carate, which is the closest point accessible by car to Parque Nacional Corcovado. Please note that the last stretch of road to Carate may be rough and require a 4x4 vehicle.
