From the Central Pacific region, head towards Route 1 (Carretera Interamericana). Follow signs for Liberia. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will reach Liberia. Once in Liberia, take Route 155 towards Rincon de la Vieja. Continue on Route 155 for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the entrance of Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja. Note that the park entrance has a parking lot, and you may need to pay an entrance fee, which is approximately $15 per person.

From locations in the Central Pacific, take a bus to Liberia. Buses frequently depart from towns such as Jaco or Quepos to Liberia and the fare is usually around $5-10. Once in Liberia, you can catch a local bus to the Rincon de la Vieja area. Look for buses marked for 'Rincon de la Vieja' or 'Curubande.' The local bus fare is typically around $2-3. After reaching the drop-off point near the park entrance, it is a short walk to the park entrance itself, where you may need to pay an entrance fee of about $15 per person.
