Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from San José. Take Route 1 (Interamericana) heading northwest. Continue for about 14 km until you reach the exit for Route 32 towards Limón. Follow this road for approximately 12 km. After passing through the town of Santo Domingo, take the exit to Route 126 towards Heredia. Follow Route 126 for about 8 km until you see signs for Monte la Cruz. Turn onto the road leading to Monte la Cruz (3W9F+62C, Heredia, Montecito). Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from San José to Heredia. Buses leave frequently from the Terminal de Buses de San José. The fare is approximately 700 CRC. Once you arrive in Heredia, transfer to a local bus heading towards Monte la Cruz. Make sure to ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Monte la Cruz. The fare for the local bus is around 500 CRC. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance of Monte la Cruz.
