Walking
If you are in the center of Jaco, start by heading northwest on Avenida Pastor Diaz towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Bohio. Turn left onto Calle Bohio and walk until you reach the main road, Route 34 (Carretera Costanera). Cross the road carefully, and you will see signs directing you to Playa Herradura. Follow the signs as you walk along the sidewalk of Route 34, which will lead you directly to Playa Herradura. The walk is approximately 30 minutes and is about 2.5 kilometers.

Bus
From Jaco, head to the bus station located at the end of Avenida Pastor Diaz. Look for the bus marked for Playa Herradura. Buses run frequently throughout the day, so you won’t have to wait long. The ride to Playa Herradura takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive, the bus will drop you off near the beach area. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach Playa Herradura.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Jaco. Simply hail a taxi or call one of the local taxi services. Show the driver the address for Playa Herradura. The ride will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey, or ensure that the meter is running.

Bicycle
If you enjoy cycling, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Jaco. From the center of Jaco, head northwest along Avenida Pastor Diaz, then turn left onto Calle Bohio. Continue straight until you reach Route 34. Ride carefully along the side of Route 34 towards Playa Herradura. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes and is a scenic way to enjoy the coastline.
