If you are staying in accommodations closer to the outskirts of La Fortuna, walking to Don Olivo is a viable option. Be prepared for a walk of approximately 30-45 minutes from the center of town. The route is mostly flat, but be mindful of the weather, as it can get hot and humid. Follow the main road towards Arenal Volcano, and Don Olivo will be on your right.

If driving, navigate towards the Arenal Volcano from La Fortuna. Don Olivo Chocolate Tour is located off the main road. Parking is available on-site. Parking in La Fortuna has been updated with a parking meter service in the town center, implemented on October 1st, 2024. There is also a secure public parking lot in town that costs 700 CRC per hour.
