If you are driving from the center of San Carlos, start by heading northwest on Route 4 (also known as the San Carlos Road). Continue on this road for approximately 15 minutes, following the signs toward Aguas Zarcas. After about 12.5 kilometers, you will see a turnoff to the right marked for FG8Q+2FJ. Take this turn, and keep following the road until you reach Observation d'iguanes, which should be visible on your left. Parking is usually available near the entrance.

To reach Observation d'iguanes via public transportation, take a bus from the San Carlos bus terminal to Aguas Zarcas. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes, and the fare is around 500-1,000 CRC (Costa Rican colón). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Aguas Zarcas, you will need to find a taxi to the specific location of Observation d'iguanes. Taxi fares in this area can range from 1,500 to 3,000 CRC, depending on distance and negotiation.
