From the National Theatre of Costa Rica, walk east along Calle 5 until you reach Avenida Central. Turn left (north) on Avenida Central and continue straight for about 800 meters. You will pass the Central Market on your right. Continue along Avenida Central until you reach 3rd Avenue. The SJ Letrero is located at 3, Av. Central, right on the corner with 3rd Avenue in the El Carmen district.

From the National Theatre, walk to the nearest bus stop located just outside the theatre on Avenida 2. Take any bus heading towards the Central Market or downtown San José. Ask the driver to let you off at the stop closest to Avenida Central and 3rd Avenue. From there, walk north on Avenida Central for about 2 minutes until you see the SJ Letrero at 3, Av.
