Car
From Sarapiquí, head south on Route 4 towards La Virgen. Continue for about 31 km until you reach the junction with Route 126. Turn left onto Route 126 and follow the signs for Poás Volcano. Stay on Route 126 for approximately 27 km, and you will see signs directing you to Poás Volcano National Park. Continue on this road until you reach the park entrance.

From Sarapiquí, take a bus from La Virgen to Alajuela. Once you arrive in Alajuela, transfer to a bus heading towards Poás Volcano. Buses to Poás typically leave from the Alajuela bus terminal. Make sure to confirm the schedule as it may vary. The ride from Alajuela to Poás Volcano will take approximately 1 hour. When you arrive, follow the signs to the entrance of the national park.
