    From San José, take Route 32 towards Guápiles. Continue to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, then follow signs to San Miguel. From San Miguel, follow local directions to Virgen del Socorro. The lodge is located 1 km south of the school in Colonia Virgen del Socorro. Be prepared for a 2.5-hour drive with scenic views. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during the rainy season.

    Take a bus from San José (Gran Terminal del Caribe) to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. Buses run regularly and cost around $7. From Puerto Viejo, take a taxi to Albergue El Socorro, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be around $8-$15. Alternatively, take the PUERTO VIEJO SARAPIQUÍ - LA VIRGEN bus and get off near the school in La Virgen, then walk 1km south.
