Car
If you are driving from the center of Woroba, start by heading southwest on the main road towards the city of Daloa. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards the town of Vavoua. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for Mont Tonkoui. As you approach, the road may become more rugged, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Follow the signs to the parking area at the base of the mountain.

Public Transportation
To reach Mont Tonkoui via public transportation, first take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the central station in Woroba to Daloa. The fare should be around 2,000 CFA francs. Upon arrival in Daloa, transfer to another taxi-brousse heading towards Vavoua. The fare for this leg is approximately 1,500 CFA francs. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Mont Tonkoui. The journey will take about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive, you may need to walk approximately 5 kilometers to reach the base of the mountain, as public transport may not go all the way. Be sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes for the hike.
