A protected landscape since 1964, it features crystal-clear waters, diverse flora and fauna, and a sunken German warship from World War II, making it ideal for hiking, swimming, and diving.

Walking
From the center of Jablanac, walk along the coastal promenade south towards Zavratnica Cove. The well-maintained path leads along the sea, offering scenic views of the Velebit mountain and the island of Rab. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and takes about 20-30 minutes. Pass through a short tunnel along the way. Upon arrival at the entrance to the cove, an entrance fee of €5 is typically collected. Note that the path is rocky and may not be suitable for wheelchairs.

Driving
From the coastal road, follow signs to Jablanac. In Jablanac, follow signs for 'Unnamed Road'. This road leads towards Zavratnica Cove. Limited free parking is available near the cove. Be aware that the road is narrow and may be challenging for larger vehicles. From the parking area, a short walk down a rocky path is required to reach the cove. Parking is free but limited.

Public Transport
Take a bus from a major town to Jablanac. From Jablanac bus stop, walk to the coastal promenade and follow the walking directions. The walk from the bus stop to Zavratnica Cove is approximately 1.5km and takes 20-30 minutes. Bus schedules may vary, especially on weekends, so check in advance.
