Nestled in the heart of Beli Manastir, the Ethnological Heritage Center Baranja serves as a beacon of cultural preservation and education. The museum is dedicated to showcasing the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the area over centuries, including the unique customs, crafts, and way of life of its inhabitants. Established in 2016, the Ethnological Center of Baranja Heritage is a place that brings together locals and tourists. The museum is located in a renovated old house. The permanent exhibition is divided into four thematic sections: traditional architecture, textile craftsmanship, crafts, customs, and legends. The idea of establishing the Ethnology Center was born in 2009 when the association “Croatian Woman” lacked a place to display its numerous exhibits. In collaboration with the City of Beli Manastir, Artisan Association of Baranja, and Beli Manastir Community Center, the project Ethnology Center of Baranja's Heritage was created. The Center represents a permanent residence for all items denoting the multicultural heritage of Baranja. Visitors can also enjoy special events and workshops, such as traditional craft-making or cooking classes, providing a deeper dive into the local culture. The center often features local artists and craftsmen, offering a platform for them to showcase their work and keep traditional practices alive.
