Vidova Gora, rising 780 meters (2,553 ft) above sea level, is the highest peak on the island of Brač and the Adriatic Sea. This natural landmark offers unparalleled panoramic views, making it a must-visit destination for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers. From the summit, you can witness the breathtaking expanse of the Adriatic Sea, the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach, and the neighboring islands of Hvar, Vis, and Korčula. While the hike is moderately challenging due to its steepness and rocky sections, the rewarding views make the effort worthwhile. At the summit, remnants of a Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Vitus (Sveti Vid) from the 13th century and a 12-meter stone cross add historical and cultural significance to the site.
