Walking
If you are starting from the Makarska Riva (the waterfront promenade), head northeast along the promenade towards the direction of the Makarska Marina. Continue walking for about 1 km along the coast until you reach the end of the promenade. From there, turn left and follow the road that leads toward Brela. You will be walking along the main road (D8) for approximately 2 km. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Plaža Podrače. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for Plaža Podrače on your right. Follow the path that leads down to the beach.

From the center of Makarska, locate the main bus station near the waterfront. Take a local bus heading towards Brela. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Plaža Podrače (look for signs indicating the beach). From the bus stop, you will need to walk a short distance. Follow the signs directing you to the beach, and you will find yourself at Plaža Podrače in no time.
