Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, take the D8 highway towards Starigrad. Once you arrive in Starigrad, look for signs for Paklenica National Park. Turn onto Paklenička ulica, which leads directly into the park. Follow the road until you reach the park entrance. Parking is available near the entrance, but there may be a small fee for parking, typically around 10 HRK (Croatian Kuna). After parking, proceed on foot towards the trailhead for Poučna staza Pjeskarica, which is well marked within the park.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to Starigrad from nearby cities such as Zadar or Rijeka. Buses frequently run from the main bus stations. Once you arrive at the Starigrad bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Paklenica National Park entrance. Walking will take approximately 20 minutes. From the bus station, head towards Paklenička ulica and follow the signs for the park entrance. Expect to pay about 10 HRK for the bus fare. Additionally, if you choose a taxi, it may cost around 50-70 HRK depending on your negotiation.

• Walking

  Once you have entered Paklenica National Park, locate the signs for Poučna staza Pjeskarica. The trailhead is easily accessible from the main park area. Follow the marked path; it is a well-maintained hiking trail that will lead you through the beautiful scenery of Paklenica. The hike itself is relatively easy and is suitable for all ages, taking approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
