Follow the promenade along the coast, enjoying views of the Adriatic Sea. Continue along the promenade until you reach the small harbor area. Look for signs or pathways leading to bus stops. You will want to find the bus stop for 'Grožnjan' or the bus to 'Buje'. Take the bus to the town of Grožnjan, which is approximately 20 km away. The trip should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Grožnjan, disembark the bus and you will find yourself in the charming village known for its art galleries and stunning views.
Biking
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Rovinj. Start at the main square, Trg Marsala Tita, and head towards the coastal road, following the signs towards the direction of Vrsar. After about 5 km, look for signs directing you towards Grožnjan. The route is scenic and will take you through beautiful countryside. The total biking distance is about 20 km, and it should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your cycling speed.
Public Transport
From Rovinj, walk to the main bus station located near the city center. Once there, find the bus service that operates to Grožnjan or Buje. Purchase a ticket at the ticket booth or from the driver. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes to reach Grožnjan. Once you arrive, you can explore the village either on foot or by renting a bike from local shops.
