Getting There

Walking
From the center of Rovinj, head southeast on Ulica Vladimira Nazora toward Ulica Montalbano. Continue on this road until you reach the roundabout at the end of the street. Take the first exit onto Ulica J. B. Tita. Follow this street, which will turn into Ulica Jure Gagrica. Once you reach the intersection with Ulica 1. Maja, turn left. Continue straight until you see signs for Ližnjan. This area is approximately 12 km from Rovinj and may take around 2.5 hours of walking. Please note that this route is quite long and may not be practical for most tourists.

From Rovinj, walk to the main bus station located on the eastern side of the Old Town, near the waterfront. Look for the bus company 'Autotrans' which operates services to various destinations including Ližnjan. Purchase a ticket to Ližnjan and wait for the bus at the designated platform. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Ližnjan, walk toward the coast; the Lighthouse Marlera is a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs toward the beach, and then head north along the coastline until you reach the lighthouse.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Rovinj. Head southeast on Ulica Vladimira Nazora, and follow the same directions as walking toward Ližnjan. The route is approximately 12 km and will take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on your cycling speed. Make sure to take the bike path that runs along the coast for a scenic ride. Once you reach Ližnjan, follow the coastal path to the Lighthouse Marlera.
