If you're starting from the Diocletian's Palace, exit the palace through the Golden Gate (Zlatna vrata). Once outside, walk straight along Ulica Kralja Zvonimira until you reach the main square, Trg Republike (Republic Square). From the square, head east towards the waterfront promenade (Riva). Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the end, where you will find a large open square called Trg Gaje Bulata. The Croatian National Theater is located at Trg Gaje Bulata 1. Look for the large building with a prominent yellow facade.

If you're near the Split bus station, you can take bus number 5 or 10 towards the city center. Get off at the last stop, which is Trg Gaje Bulata.
